Wareham Art Club was founded by Pam Hayes who in 1991 called a meeting to discuss the possibility of starting an art club in Wareham. Her son had died suddenly a short time before and, in his memory, Pam wanted to do something for the local community. Pam’s wish was that the accent should be “on people getting together and enjoying art and painting.” And so Wareham Art Club was born and more than thirty years later the club is still going strong as a friendly group of people of all ages and abilities who enjoy painting and drawing, and who try very hard to make Pam’s wish a reality. Sadly Pam died in 2015
