“Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” – Pablo Picasso
I started painting at school but it wasn’t until the passing of my mother, a few years ago, that I took up painting again to develop and use my creativity, which I deeply believe is in all people, just expressed in different ways. I have found the practise of painting mindful, relaxing and absorbing. Developing my painting practise has been a wonderful journey in which I have begun to really ‘look’ and see the world in a new way – looking at shapes, colour, intensity and most important the effect of light. With gratitude and thanks to the Wareham Art group ~ who are a source of inspiration and encouragement.
